Valencia

Valencia mixes the modern City of Arts and Sciences with a medieval old town, the Turia gardens and the Central Market. It is a compact city that is easy to explore on foot and by bike, with city beaches a short ride away. Paella was born in the rice fields around the nearby Albufera, and every March the Fallas festival fills the streets with giant sculptures and fireworks.
